At just 8 kilometers away of the city, you will find the largest wind farm in Canada. The Prince wind Farm, came on line in 2006 located on a high-ridge above lake Superior. This wind- energy project, contains 126 turbines spread out on over 20,000 acres , generates 189 megawatts of natural, renewable energy, what is enough to power more than 40,000 houses.

To make this project come to life the amount of more than $ 400,000,000 dollars was needed and more than 48 kilometers of access roads where constructed.

From far away it looks like these giants are dancing along with the wind's rhythm, in an harmonious choreography. But as you get closer, these giants kind of look like they are waking up, and the sense of technology, speed and a new era captures your thoughts and makes you fell “Clean”.
